The Kittysplit Privacy Policy

Kittysplit was conceived to use as little personal data as possible. In fact, it is possible to use Kittysplit without supplying any personal data at all.

Personal data of Kittysplit.com users

The creator of a Kitty has the option of supplying an email address. Participants in a Kitty can be entered with their full names, making them personally identifiable.

Kittysplit processes this personal data for the purpose of supplying its services (cost splitting for groups).

Kittysplit does not track your IP address.

How long is personal data stored for?

Kittysplit will remove all personal data from kitties 12 months after the last activity occurred in a Kitty.

You can directly delete a Kitty by going to Edit > delete Kitty. The Kitty will become inaccessible and all personal data will be removed.

Google Adsense

Kittysplit uses Adsense to show you ad banners. Google will show all users in the EEA only non-personalized ads.

Non-personalized ads are targeted using contextual information rather than the past behavior of a user. Although these ads don’t use cookies for ads personalization, they do use cookies to allow for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and to combat fraud and abuse.

E-mails & other communications

If an email address is supplied when creating a Kitty, it will receive a maximum of 2 emails for that particular Kitty.

Kittysplit uses SendGrid to send emails.

Communications between you and Kittysplit such as chats, emails, tweets and private messages may be stored to improve our communications and for future reference.

Google Analytics

Kittysplit uses Google Analytics.

The following information is sent to Google Analytics when using Kittysplit:

• Device, browser and referrer;
• Unique identifiers;
• Approximate location;
• Usage of the website;
• Requests and responses sent to and from your device.

This data is used for

• Monitoring the performance of the website;
• Supporting the business operations of Kittysplit, including sales and marketing;
• Improving and optimizing the website and services of Kittysplit.

Social media and distributed content

Kittysplit may use the services of our partners to stay in touch with you or to provide you with content. For example we may provide you with articles through our Facebook page or Twitter.

Updates to this policy

From time to time, Kittysplit will revise this policy, without further notice. Kittysplit recommends that you regularly check whether this policy has been revised. However, Kittysplit will notify users via notifications in the app about any major changes that would negatively impact User’s interests.
